The Faculty consists of seven departments:  Biology Education Department, Indonesian Language Education and Literature Department, English Language Education Department, Mathematics Education Department, Civics Education Department, Elementary School Teacher Education Department, and Professional Teacher Education Department. These departments provide a high quality of teaching and excellent academic programs at the undergraduate level. We aim to empower our students to excel in their future careers by preparing them to be competent and professional.

We have a strong and dedicated team of faculty members who are not only engaged at the frontiers of teaching and research but also providing adequate support and opportunities for our students to be mentored in all phases of the learning process. Our excellent staff and faculty are devoted to prepare and support highly effective and socially responsible leaders and practitioners who believe in the accomplishment of all learners. Our strong partnership with the local-area community organization as well as overseas institutions has supported FTTE’s dynamic mission as faculty that is committed to collaboration and cooperation.

Over the past few months, we have experienced a global pandemic of COVIC 19 which required us to take action in order to ensure that the virtual learning and experiences we provide adequately prepare our future educators, teachers, counselors and administrators to attain their educational goals in this challenging time. In response to the COVID 19 crisis, the faculty offers a range of instructional methods, classroom safety measures, and extent of face to face or virtual interaction as an adaptation to the new normal situation we are currently experiencing. Accordingly, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Muhammadiyah Malang fosters critically engaged professional education scholars and practitioners for transitional 21-century learning and teaching contexts.

I wish you all the best for the upcoming academic year.
